New version OpenEMM 20.10 available

AGNITAS releases new version of the popular open source software “OpenEMM” for the automation of email communication in marketing, sales and administration.

In 2020 we have learned how important digitalization is – also for communication processes. It is therefore essential to convert analog communication to e-mail and to exploit the potential for automation, because email is the most important digital communication channel and helps to save money and time at the same time.

OpenEMM is the web-based solution for professional, individual and automated e-mail communication that everyone can afford. Thanks to an open source license, OpenEMM is permanently free of charge, as are the operating system and database required for operation.

Users are free to decide where and how they want to operate OpenEMM and thus have the issues of data protection and data security completely in their own hands.

OpenEMM is equally suitable for newsletters, multilevel campaigns, transactional mails, service mails and autoresponders. An integrated WYSIWYG and HTML editor provide support for the design of mailings and forms. Numerous graphical and tabular statistics enable a detailed evaluation of success. DSGVO conformity is always guaranteed.

With the help of the intuitive campaign manager, users can plan even complex email campaigns. For example, emails can be triggered by a key date or a specific action such as an online order, a subscription or a service request. For multi-stage campaigns, different execution paths can be defined, depending on reactions. A/B tests can also be easily implemented with the Campaign Manager.

Interfaces such as web services or a RESTful API for connecting to third-party systems such as CRM or store are also available in OpenEMM. Since the source code is public, users can make changes and extensions as they wish.

In order to get the maximum benefit from the software, OpenEMM is extensively documented, from the installation instructions to the user manual and a context-sensitive online help in German and English. In addition, numerous video tutorials support users in various tasks. OpenEMM users can also use the free support forum to exchange tips and tricks and to discuss problems.

For OpenEMM, there is the independent administration tool OMT (OpenEMMM Maintenance Tool), with which the software can be installed, configured, managed and updated on inexpensive Linux servers. Thanks to an OVA version, OpenEMM can also be installed on Windows or other operating systems via the open source virtualization VirtualBox™.

Since the first OpenEMM version in 2006, AGNITAS AG has been a competent company providing support, bug fixes and individual development services. For OpenEMM users for whom the scope of services or performance is no longer sufficient, AGNITAS offers a seamless upgrade to the commercial versions of the EMM (E-Marketing Manager).
