OpenEMM is the software for individual and automated email communication at zero cost, as OpenEMM is permanently free of charge thanks to its open source license. GDPR compliance is also ensured by its own data protection functions. OpenEMM users are free to decide where they want to operate the software and therefore have complete control over data protection and data security. Direct access to the source code allows security inspections and customizations. This makes OpenEMM an important building block for digital sovereignty.

Installation, configuration, technical requirements:
The OpenEMM consists of three packages:
- Deployment and runtime environment (the runtime also contains the installer, size approx. 5 MB)
- Backend code for sending mail and managing bounces/responses (size approx. 1 MB)
- Frontend code with user interface, statistics and web services (size approx. 190 MB)
After registration, you will immediately receive an e-mail through which you can download the deployment and runtime environment. With the help of the installer, you reload the other two packages.
In OpenEMM Wiki you can find detailed instructions for installation and configuration as well as technical requirements.

1 No CentOS required if you want to run the OpenEMM using e.g. Ubuntu or Debian.
2 Via VirtualBox; please note: Operation via VirtualBox is performance-intensive, so a correspondingly powerful server is required.
Note: If you want to run the OpenEMM without virtualization, please go to the OpenEMM Runtime.

The OpenEMM consists of three packages (deployment and runtime environment; backend for mail dispatch and management of bounces/responses; frontend with user interface, statistics and web services), which are already included in the OVA file.
After registration, you will immediately receive an e-mail through which you can access the OVA file (4.6 GB).
In OpenEMM Wiki you can find detailed instructions for installation and configuration as well as technical requirements. Follow the steps from point 5, points 1 – 4 are no longer necessary in the OVA version.

Installation Online-Help:
